Photographing hoop earrings can be an absolute nightmare.
Trust me, I know. I am a professional jewellery photographer and I photograph jewellery at home for a living.
Should you lie them down? Try to white-tack them up? Which way should they be facing?
Well.. question yourself no more.
I created a cheat sheet with multiple positions for you to copy when taking images of your own hoop earrings. They are my all-time favourite classics that I never miss out on when photographing hoops.
Don't forget, there is so many more creative ways to do it too! Piercing them through a paper card, balancing on a jewellery holder pole, resting on a beautifully crumpled up material... let your imagination roam wild!
Oh, and I did the homework for you too! I analysed 3 of the biggest (well, 3 of my favourite) jewellery businesses and noted what placements they use in their listings the most.
And if you ever wonder how to create professional jewellery photography at home with as little effort as possible, check out our best-selling jewellery photography course HERE!
